Two Things That Are Guaranteed to Give You Success

Success is not a mystery. It is very plain. If you could do something that guaranteed success in life is not a mystery. Life is not rigged against people because of upbringing, education, or race.  Two things have worked for millennia to bring success to people. They are working today. They will work for you.

A sixteen year old teenager is taken captive as a foreign army overtakes his country. He is taken away from his parents, forced into a culture he does not know or understand. Those in power are the opposite in character of the family he loved but now has lost. However, he has learned two principles that he will establish as life habits and they will take him to the top of this new world in career, finances, and influence. Throughout his life he will become the president of this foreign power, second only to the sitting king.  From rags to riches, from nobody to somebody. His name was Daniel. A book in the Bible is named for him.

What are those two things? Kindness and Truth

Those two things brought him favor. If you want to be successful do these two things and you will keep stumbling on success

Do not let kindness and truth leave you; Bind them around your neck, Write them on the tablet of your heart. So you will find favor and good repute In the sight of God and man. Proverbs 3:3-4

This word does not mean “nice.” There are many people who look “nice” with a sugar sweet smile but are not “good.”  Kindness here means a zeal to do good for someone or something.

Does not mean 2 + 2 = 4 for sure! It means firmness, reliability, faithfulness and stability.  Can you be trusted at work?  Can your boss trust you?

Being the person in your family, your profession, or your community who’ll show up looking to help someone or some event will make you stand out above the others.  People will begin to look for you because you regularly come looking for answers to problems. You will distinguish yourself as a problem solver.  Everyone needs that kind of person.

Being reliable and faithful puts you in the most wanted list.  When crises arise no one looks for the ones that are flaky, even if they always have good excuses for not performing.

These two qualities are so critical to have, scriptures says to “tie them around your neck.” Why? Because in times when you are treated unfairly, or unexplained emergencies arise kindness and truth tend to leave. This could happen in your life.

Success and favor could be the picture of your life.
