I’m worried!

How often do you catch yourself saying that? I know it is something we all suffer-we don’t want to worry-but we do. How to escape the trap of worry?

Isaiah 26:3 You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You; because he trusts in You.

Yikes! I want to trust Him, but so often I get snagged by the problems of life. I want to keep my mind on Him, but I find myself wandering back to the same situation over and over. What can I do?

1.  Tell God about your problem. It isn’t like He doesn’t know you are worried about it. He knows you are scared, fearful, not standing in faith, whatever it is. This is the time to talk to Him.

2. Picture yourself putting that concern into His hands. He loves you, and will care for you. Sometimes I just have to imagine the problem like a box all wrapped up that I am handing to Him.

3. Leave the “box” with Him. This is the hard part. How often I want to get up in the middle of the night and worry about it again. I want to fix it, handle it, review it-I can drive myself crazy if I don’t watch out!

Try these three things, and then practice them. So many of the disasters we think will happen, never do. God has helped you before-and He will help you again. Trust Him.

1 Peter 5: 7 ...Casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.

God Bless You,
